For many years the Essex County Branch of Ontario Ancestors has video recorded the monthly meetings that the Branch held at the Windsor Public Library when the Main library was located on Ouellette Avenue. We continued to video the meetings when our venue changed to the Maryvale meeting room when we no longer had access to a meeting room at the library.
When COVID struck, we could no longer have in-person meetings. We were presented with the ZOOM platform that would allow us to conduct our meetings live on the internet. As a result, all of our meetings since 2021 have been ZOOM WEBINARS. This process allowed us to reach out to the many family researchers who did not live in the Windsor or Essex County area.
Unfortunately, when COVID restrictions were lifted, the Branch had a shortage of volunteers and it became necessary to continue offering its presentations via Zoom webinars. If we have permission from the speaker, our recorded meetings as well as our recorded Zoom Webinars have been posted on You Tube. The Essex County YouTube channel can be found here.
